A mom, a mission, and a better bow
It started on a cold Wyoming morning. Brittania reached for a bow headband from a popular baby brand — and pulled it right back off. The band was tight, scratchy synthetic fabric. She'd read the studies on microplastics in children's textiles. She wasn't putting that on her daughter.
She searched for something soft, organic, and adjustable. Something that would actually fit a newborn's delicate head without digging in — and still fit a curious, squirmy toddler eighteen months later. She came up empty.
So she designed it herself. TenderBow was born in Wyoming — a pre-tied bow on a sliding-knot band, crafted from 95% GOTS-certified organic cotton with 5% Lycra for stretch and durability. No tight elastic. No red marks.

The hero material
Our GOTS-certified organic cotton comes with no pesticides, no chemical softeners, and no synthetic dyes. It's breathable, durable, and gets softer with every wash.
Stretch, shape, and durability
A touch of Lycra gives the bow stretch and durability so it holds its shape wash after wash. Internal elastic keeps the band structured — that's not the fit mechanism (the sliding knot handles fit), it's what makes the bow look great on day one and day one hundred.

Fitting questions, answered
Will it leave marks on my baby's head?
No. The band is made from soft organic fabric — not elastic — so it rests gently without digging in. As long as the knot is adjusted to fit comfortably (you should be able to slip two fingers underneath), there's no pressure on your baby's head.
How do I adjust the fit?
Hold the bow in one hand and the band in the other. Gently slide the two fabric knots toward each other to tighten, or apart to loosen. That's it. It only takes a couple seconds once you get the feel for it.
Is it safe for newborns?
Yes. TenderBow bows have no small parts, no snaps, no buttons, and no hard hardware of any kind. The design is fully compliant with CPSC infant accessory guidelines. We recommend supervised wear for newborns, as with any baby accessory.
How do I measure my baby's head?
Use a soft measuring tape and wrap it around the widest part of the head — just above the eyebrows and ears. That gives you the circumference. Then use our size cards above to find the right starting position for the knots.
